MoMo crew at the Anime Fest Asia 09

Well, we didn't have a booth there, but we went to the event in Singapore on short notice.

In our opinion, not as happening as last year, maybe cuz that was our first time going to events in Singapore.

Coz read this, we arrived there via flight at 8.30am, arrive to teh convention center at 9, line up for teh ticket til 10, and by 12noon, we were like.....what to do now? So basically, other than shopping, we can't really do anything else. So we had to find a way to kill time till our night flight back to KL.

In a sense, they could've add more stuff to do there other than the toy displays, gashapon, karaoke and shopping.

So in the end, we bought:

- DX Kamen Rider Kabuto Belt
- An Obitsu body base doll
- A couple of Gashapons
- A small Chocobo and Cactuar official plush keychains
- An official Mario hat
- Kingdom Hearts Mobile Sora phone strap
- Keroro and Kerorobo figures (bought at Takashimaya though)

And of course, we have pictures. But here's a catch, turns out my cam doesn't have any memory cards LMAO, my mom borrowed teh cam and forgot to put back teh card, so we had VERY limited photos taken, so here they are:

Just a note, we were in our Kamen Rider-tard mood, so most of the stuff taken were Kamen Rider stuff, but have a look anyways:

SIC DECADE!! Still not out yet, but as you can see there was a preview.

S.H.Figuarts, we were looking for Decade the next day in KL but suddenly it went completely sold out from the Malaysian market, LOLz~

WANT. THAT. KR DOUBLE.

Blade Belt. Check. Kabuto Belt. Check. Den-O Belt. Check. Kiva Belt. Check. Decade belt. Check. Double belt. maybe later. Ichigo Belt. Wishlist.

KAWAAAAAAAAAIIIII~~~ SOOOO WANTTTT~~~

And teh ultimate treasure:

LMAOROFLLOLZZOMGNYA~
Yeah, teh eyes GLOWZ.

Well, thats Kamen Rider-tards for you guys.

Anywho, overall, we did have the positive side to going for teh event, which is that we get to venture around Singapore without our parents to stop us (coz yeah, we went there just the two of us).

Hopefully next year would be better, coz please, create activities. I didn't pay $15/RM30++ just to buy toys, I wanna have fun, so they have to make that fun, not us creating that fun ourselves, it won't be an event that way, coz for me, AFA in my opinion is more like a toy fair that an ACG event. And paying extra to buy mini concert tickets, that's like a music festival already, seriously, they got to balance it all.

That's why I prefer local events, even though they are smaller compared to other countries, but at least they let the anime spirit go free and everyone is really united; meeting new friends, learning from each other; knowing that we 'freaks' are not alone in this world. That's the kind of event I want to go.

LOLz, emo mode.
Well, that's all for the AFA report~

MoMo is now Official. Next Stop, Anime Hanabi Festival~

MoMo is a new art group formed with me and my big brother as the first founders of the group. We recently formed it during the Taylor's Anime Fest 09, and is now starting its journey to local anime events in Malaysia. The name MoMo actually means 'peach' in japanese, inspired by our favourite character in the Kamen Rider series, Kamen Rider Den-O's 'Imagin' named Momotaros. The name came out during our current craze with the series and we got attached to it.
